Synopsis
Eze and One are two longtime friends who dream of becoming professional singers. For this dream to come true, they joined the prestigious Patrick Saint-Eloi school. In this establishment, they meet eccentric characters, but especially the mysterious Tony.
Tony
Tony is a young student from Guadeloupe, who came to mainland France to pursue her studies — far from her island, her family, and everything she knows.
Her arrival carries an invisible weight: last year, an intimate photo of her was leaked without her consent. Since then, she navigates a student environment that looks at her differently, carrying judgments she never deserved.
Through her, Colibri explores what it means to be an overseas student — leaving everything behind, finding yourself alone, and building resilience far from home.
One/Jung Wan
One is a young man driven by music. Gifted with a remarkable voice, he made the courageous choice to turn his back on the future his parents had planned for him — medicine — to follow his own path, one of singing, passion and authenticity. He joins the Patrick Saint-Éloi school to pursue his dreams.
He has been friends with Eze since middle school, and it is this encounter that will truly push him out of his shell and make him want to live for his passion.
A purist through and through, One never compromises when it comes to music. It is his religion, his language, his reason for being.
Eze
Eze is a force of nature. A restless child, he grew up alone with his mother, in a total artistic freedom that naturally led him towards music.
Colourful, extroverted, he was made for the spotlight and he knows it. Where One hesitates, Eze dives in. He already pictures a bright future ahead — with the cameras on him, and why not alongside his oldest friend.
Born in Martinique but raised in mainland France, Eze never fully immersed himself in his Caribbean culture. His encounter with Tony changes something — their shared origins create an immediate and natural bond, and Tony becomes for him a true gateway to an identity he never really had the chance to explore.
